What players work on
Each session is a skills practice on dedicated ice. Coaches work on skating, puck handling, passing and shooting, and the small groups mean every player gets plenty of repetitions.
Morning ice and school
Ice time ends at 9:00 a.m., so players arrive at school a little late on Wednesdays. Coach Connor Maloney ran the same before-school format at the Airdrie Elite Morning Academy in Alberta.
Prices
The season pass books one player into every session left this season. Packs give your family credits to book whenever it suits you. The season pass price drops as sessions pass, but each session costs a little more, so joining early is the best deal.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Weekly On-Ice Skills cost?
A season pass for the 24 sessions left this season costs $999.00 paid up front, or $41.63 per session. The 10-session pack works out to $49.90 per session. A single session costs $70.00. Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus 5% GST.
When and where are the sessions?
Every Wednesday from 7:45 to 9:00 a.m. at Spectator Arena @ Rogers Rink in Salmon Arm, October to April. This season runs from October 7, 2026 to April 28, 2027. The schedule on this page lists every date.
Who can join?
Players aged 10 to 15, at every skill level. Groups are small, so coaches can adjust drills for newer and more experienced players. If you're not sure the session suits your player, email admin@shuswapelitehockey.com.
How do I register?
Create a free family account at my.shuswapelitehockey.com with your email address. Then get a season pass, buy a session pack, or book a single session and pay by card. Setting up an account takes about a minute.
How does the season pass work?
A season pass is for one player and books them into every session left in the season. The earlier you buy it, the less each session costs. You can pay up front, or in monthly payments that finish before the last month of the season. Pass holders also get priority booking, and early access and discounts from the Academy and its partners. If your player can't make a week, release the spot so another player can use it. Pass sessions aren't credited back.
How do session packs work?
A session pack adds credits to your family account, and each booking uses one credit. Any player in your family can use them, and the credits are valid until the end of the season. If you paid for a single session in the last 30 days, what you paid comes off a pack or season pass.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel at least 12 hours before a session to get your credit back. A paid single session that you cancel in time becomes account credit for another session. Later cancellations and no-shows use the session. Season pass sessions aren't credited back.
What happens if a session is full?
Join the waitlist. If a spot opens, the next player on the list is booked automatically, using a credit or, if the family allowed it, their saved card. The family gets an email either way.
What equipment does my player need?
Full hockey equipment, including a helmet with full face protection.
